Flying the coup in retail

Back to work…

PC has been enjoying a time of work/vacation/work/vacation/work/vacation.

Its been a nice ride that comes to an end tonight… I have to go back to full time nightmare status til next Jan when I get time off again.  Even the thought  of it makes my chest tight…

But for sure, it will be some wonderful blog fodder, or a heart attack.

And, you will be the first to know!

Hey…. making your chest tight or causing a heart attack is not good…… seriously! Maybe it is time to make a career change? Just saying….
you think I am not looking? Been to interviews, but not trading the frying pan for the fire…I need a change. a real change.

PC, I feel your pain. I go back tomorrow after a week off. During my week off, I have been to the store once and hired a new employee. Being the PIC and store manager is such a thrill. Also, I have talked to my corporate office 4 times from home. Hey, but at least it’s almost football season. And in spite of the frustrations of my job, at least I have one. That’s my positive spin of the day. Hang in there, PC.

Hi there.

I recently wrote/shot a web series pilot called “Hard to Swallow” based on my experiences working at a small retail pharmacy. Found your blog and thought you might find it humorous.

Hope you enjoy it and share with whomever might need/enjoy a 6 minute break.

Wow you must have worked in one seriously sucking pharmacy. Because I happen to like (for the most part) the people I work for and with. Most of my hassles do not come from the people I work with, its the customers and their unrealistic expectations and the crap I get from corporate. The only nice person in your vignette was the dark haired tech/clerk. The rest of the people were a bunch of doofuses. Its your story and you can write it any way you choose. If I can make only one suggestion…Dont make US look like the bad guys. Most of us are just working out butts off trying to wait on customers who behave like Gary and Jocelyn
